POSITION SUMMARY:
This full-time position exists to: receive, coordinate, and
implement admission process and procedures, including responsibility for
data entry and utilization of the EMPOWER student records management
system. This position also requires coordination with recruiting,
initiating the student financial aid application process, and will
conduct limited recruitment activities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Receive completed admission
application packets including but not limited to high school and college
transcripts;
- Process and maintain a
student admission application filing system on each student applicant
until student file is transferred out of admissions office for
registration process;
- Assures that students
receive a completed acceptance letter upon receipt of all required forms
and documents;
- Facilitate the planning of
and lead the implementation of a plan to coordinate the admissions
office and recruiting department with the financial aid process;
- Maintain
student files including application, transcripts, assessment test
results, and other required admissions information so files are
complete and follow up on all required information or changes in
information;
- Must become
proficient in operating the EMPOWER student records management
system module(s) necessary to accomplish essential functions;
- Data entry of
admissions information and applications into the EMPOWER system;
- Data entry of
student prospect information into the EMPOWER system and be
responsible for all direct mailings to prospective students;
- Evaluate
transfer credits in cooperation with appropriate Dean;
- Meet with
students and respond to inquiries, provide admissions information,
inform all prospective students of registration process upon request
and refer to proper personnel for further action;
- Extract
reports, tracking, and queries from EMPOWER as requested or needed;
- Responsible for
ID card machine, including back-up departmental ID coverage plan,
and providing students and staff with college ID cards;
- Be
knowledgeable of class offerings, the school calendar, the financial
aid process, registration process, tuition and fees;
- Assist
Recruiter with conducting limited recruitment activities;
- Implement
admissions process for general CMN student status, and admission
process for other departments with additional or varied criteria;
- Comply with
current admission practices as prescribed by the American
Association of Collegiate Registrar and Admissions Officers,
including FERPA regulations;
- Keep the
admissions office in full compliance with the requirements and
policies of CMN and the accreditation association;
- Perform other
duties assigned by Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ideal candidate will possess a
minimum Bachelor’s Degree, with a Master’s Degree from an accredited
institution preferred. We are seeking an individual with strong
organizational and time management skills that has the ability to
prioritize their work in order to meet deadlines. He/she must be able
to work with the public in an efficient and pleasant manner and must
have Word, Excel, and general computer proficiency. The ability to
operate general office equipment, communicate well both orally and in
writing, and work in a multi-task environment are essential to this
position. Prior customer service or sales experience is desirable.
Ideal candidate may need to work additional or flexible hours at times.
