Norman worked for the Menominee Indian Tribe, Menominee County Health and Human Services, the Great Lake Intertribal Council, in Law Enforcement, as a W2 worker, and a VR Counselor.

Norman started at CMN on November 26th, 2007 in his job as the Director of the Vocational Rehabilitation for Native Americans Project in the Education Outreach department. 
 

 
  Norman is married to Kathleen (Mohawk) Shawanokasic and has three children, one grandchild, Myamae Shawanokasic.  He enjoys spending time with family, running the family business, traveling, the Green Bay Packers, and NASCAR racing. 

He is involved in various elected positions, tribal committees, and currently serves on the Menominee Tribal Enterprises Board of Directors as Chairperson.
