As a 1971 graduate from the Shawano High School, my main goal in life after
graduation was to get married and raise a family. My dream was fulfilled and I
was blessed with four beautiful children. Three boys and one daughter. The experiences which
I have gained while raising my children has lead me to the field which I
enjoy the most, children. |

While trying to understand the changes in their lives,
I decided it was time to educate myself in the necessary field of childrearing. The College of the Menominee Nation had just opened its doors and the
opportunity for a good education was just waiting for me. As I started with a
course in Psychology the doors to my future were soon opened. I was soon offered
a job at the Menominee Indian Head Start as a teacher. The position was exciting
and rewarding and opened the door for more opportunities. Graduation from the College of the Menominee Nation came in 1996 along with new challenges. From teacher to Education Manager and after eight years of Head Start, the College of the Menominee Nation became my new domain. December 18, 2000 was the start of a new career, new goals, and new opportunities. |
