Check Out Science Expo Jan. 12; CMN Will Be There

Wisconsin's science resource center, The Einstein Project, is bringing its annual Science Expo for kids to ShopKo Hall in Green Bay and the College of Menominee Nation is among sponsors. The event is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12. If a Packers play-off game is scheduled for Saturday, the event will move to Sunday, Jan. 13.

As Science Expo's community partnership sponsor, CMN makes it possible for programs of the College and of other area non-profits to demonstrate the fun of science along with business, industry, and other presenters. CMN's three demonstration booths are being arranged by Jennifer Morris, the College's STEM Resource/Demonstration Coordinator. Hands-on activities in the Life Sciences, Physical Science, and Engineering areas at the Expo will be managed by CMN staff and student volunteers.

Science Expo is a family event designed especially for children pre-school through middle school. The day includes entertaining and educational exhibits and dozens of hands-on science opportunities for kids that will be of interest to parents and other adults as well..

Tickets at the door cost $5 for children aged 3 to 18; $2 for adults, and free for children aged 2 and younger. View the poster
