Constitution Day

Constitution

Legislation requires that all educational institutions receiving federal funds implement educational programs relating to the US Constitution on September 17 of each year. On this date in 1787, the delegates to the Constitutional Convention met for the last time to sign the United States Constitution and present it to the American public.

Constitution Day serves as a reminder about the importance of active participation in the political process. To honor the legacy of our country’s founding fathers, we encourage everyone to participate in the electoral process and to develop habits of citizenship that will allow you to serve as the voice for those in need.
