The public library cares about the entire family and has planned programs to keep everyone reading, learning, and engaged all summer. It doesn’t take a big commitment on your part other than the time you spend reading with your child or encouraging them to read on their own. Reading to your children and asking them to read to you helps keep their minds active and ready to learn and succeed when entering school in the fall.

This summer, participants will be tracking the number of books they have read. Our program is designed for readers of all ages. Stop at the library for our summer reading program Kickoff Event on Wednesday, July 8, at 4 p.m. During your visit, enjoy food and entertainment, sign up for the reading program, and get your reading log and a free book.

If you can’t make it to the kickoff event, you can stop in at the library to sign up for the summer reading program from July 6 to July 10. Remember, the more reading logs you complete and turn in, the more chances you get to win the grand prize!

Signing up for a library card is easy and free. There is a $2 fee for lost or damaged library cards. All you need is a photo ID and proof of your current address. We hope that you and your family enjoy looking at books and reading together and that you discover the treasures of your library. Please call the library at 715-799-5600, ext. 3003, if you have any questions. Check your local newspaper or stop in at the library for more information.
